Beyond the Brush Studio & Class Policy

As part of the development of our new studio and gallery at Beyond the Brush, we have developed a policy and procedure to support fulfillment of student as well as teacher obligations. Our goal is to provide a supportive, creative atmosphere for artistic skills to grow and develop while sustaining our family-owned business. As such, we wish to extend our gratitude and appreciation for your willingness to support us!

TUITION

We sell the individual classes as packages, prices as provided for 4 sessions. We appreciate payment upfront before the start of the first class of each session. The fee includes both instruction and the materials we utilize at the studio with the exception of oil painting, mix media and sculpting, oversized canvasses (14”x18” maximum size we provide) in which case, additional fees will apply to cover the cost of materials.  For your convenience, these additional fees can be billed along with your monthly tuition. Please be aware that class settings could have up to 4 students per session.

CLASS REGISTRATION

We want to save you/your student’s space in each of the class sessions. To reserve a space, enrollment is not finalized until the full payment is received.

If payment is not made before the beginning of class, the student’s/your child’s place in class may be forfeited.

There are no refunds for class cancellation as our classes are small. We have a waiting list of students and once your student is enrolled, we turn away other artists that could have had that session.

PUNCTUALITY

To be respectful of the students, please refrain from coming to class or dropping off your student more than 5 minutes before the class start time. Please attend all classes in a timely manner and see the section below for cancellations. Please respect student time as we are usually in session with other students prior to each class.

 RENEWAL/CONTINUATION OF CLASSES

To reserve your spot for continuing classes, the full payment must be made prior to the beginning of the new cycle. Please communicate with the teacher if there are any issues with renewing the class or payment issues.

MISSED CLASSES

We understand that life happens and occasionally classes may be missed. Should you or your student need to miss a class, please call or text us at least 48 hours prior to the start of the scheduled class. We will be happy to schedule a make-up class (preferably during the same week).

Any missed classes due to vacation, illness, emergency situations, doctor appointments, inclement weather, must be made up by the end of the current session.

*Please keep in mind that classes WILL NOT roll over to a new 4 class session. If the make-up class is not scheduled during the current cycle, the class will be forfeited. *

Please work with the teachers to reschedule any missed classes.

Please note: Any class that is missed without notice is considered a "no show",

it cannot be made up and no refund or credit will be given for that missed class.

Last minute cancellations without a valid excuse will be treated as a “No Show”, and the missed class will be forfeited.

SICK POLICY

At Artistic Kreations, we prefer to share creativity, not germs.

In consideration for others, please refrain from coming to class if you or your student are feeling under the weather.

Additionally, if you or your student is too sick for work/school, we would appreciate it if they would not come to art class as well.

If you have tested positive or have been in contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19, please refrain from coming to class.

If we are concerned about the risk to health or well-being of others, we reserve the right to restrict admission to class.

Please contact us to make special arrangements for a sick day make-up session.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

We will generally adhere to the Hamilton County Public School System schedule in the event of inclement weather.

If the studio is closed due to weather, we will notify you of make-up classes. If school is delayed, the studio will hold classes at its regular time; however, please contact us if it is not possible for your child to attend.

If we have a delay in starting time or closing, we will notify you of such and discuss make-up classes.

BEHAVIOR

We want the atmosphere to be welcoming and creative in the studio space and as such, any student found to be disruptive during class may be dismissed with no refund. We have a no tolerance policy for disruptive behavior. Please be respectful.

CANCELATION/WITHDRAWAL OF CLASS

If you must withdraw completely from a class session, there will be a cancellation fee of $60.

For a withdrawal after the first class, a prorated studio credit will be provided that may be used at any time during the next 6 months.
